A simple method for fish silage production: Using yoghurt as inoculum

The evaluation of seafood processing wastes is an important issue in terms both preventing environmental pollution and adding value to these economically. most practical method that can convert waste into a valuable feed source plant fertilizer make silage. In this study, the ripening times nutritional components fish silages prepared with direct addition lactic acid bacteria culture (Streptococcus thermophilus), acidifying chemicals (formic acid) yogurt, which fermented food, were compared. research, sardine (Sardina pilchardus) (head, skin, bones, internal organs, etc.) used silage production. It was observed all completed phase within maximum 10 days. determined moisture, ash, protein lipid contents groups acid, yoghurt ranged between 63-66%, 5.6-5.7%, 11.3-11.8% 12.18-13.65%, respectively. As result it made as alternative pure bacterial or met expectations time nutrient components.
